Development Manager
|
We are looking for a passionate and strong people manager to run a team of 20+ developers. This opportunity would suit an ex-developer now focused on team management and interested in building and transforming a small and growing team into an engaged and high performance machine. Oasis is a company with a massive investment in technology and big plans for the future, and this role is a key part of the IT Application Development.

The Development manager will carry out the following objectives;
|
- Perform the people leadership of the developer team including recruiting, performance management, training, development, reviews and general line management.
- Perform the resource management activities for the development team including work allocation, capacity planning, and managing resource utilisation and recharging.
- Perform the improvement initiatives required of the development team including review and recommend appropriate development tools, methodologies, and processes.
- Participate in the management and communication of the pipeline of project work with business and project stakeholders.
- Participate in estimating projects in the definition phase to be delivered by IT Application Development.

- The successful applicant will have;
|
- Relevant tertiary qualifications;
- Excellent team leadership skills;
- Experience managing a team of 15+ staff
- Highly developed development and problem solving skills;
- Significant experience in SDLC and supporting methodologies;
- Proven ability to deliver complex business solutions;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills;
- Highly developed influencing skills;
- Excellent relationship management skills.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
