Oasis Privacy Policy



Oasis Asset Management Ltd and related entities (Oasis) considers our commitment to the privacy of information central to our success. We honor our obligation to respect and protect the privacy of the personal information of individuals and entities with whom we deal.

Your Information we may collect


At Oasis we always attempt to collect your information from you directly or when you instruct your professional advisers to provide us with this information.
The personal information we need to provide you with your requested services includes, but isn’t limited to, your contact details, information about the product and services you use or are able to use as well as information obtained from your applications. The information we need to collect from you will be dependent upon what services you seek from us or your adviser/s using our services.
We only collect this personal information about you when it is reasonably necessary to allow us to provide you quality products or services such as password protected web portals, to consider applications and approaches from investors or their advisers. We are also required to meet government regulations and regulatory requirements needed to provide these services to you.
We do not generally collect personal information or sensitive personal information other than as is required by applicable law or to provide you the services you require. This is inline with our legal obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and the National Privacy Principals.

How that information is used


We only disclose personal information for the purpose in which it was disclosed to us or related purposes which would reasonably be expected without your permission to provide you the services you seek from us.

We may be obliged to disclose personal information to service providers who provide services in connection with our products and services or we may provide information about you to your nominated financial adviser with your permission or as required by law or regulatory bodies.

Keeping your information up to date and accurate


We take all reasonable steps to ensure that all information we hold is as accurate as is possible. You, as an investors are able to contact their financial advisers or us directly, through our client services, at any time to change or update your information if you feel the information we possess is inaccurate or incomplete. Security of your information


Oasis use strict security procedures and the latest technology to protect your information. At Oasis only staff members who reasonably need access to your information to provide you the services you require are able to access your information. We limit other staff from accessing information to prevent misuse or unlawful disclosure.
We extend this obligation to any outsourced provider we may choose to use.
Where the personal information we collect is no longer required and we are permitted by applicable laws, we delete the information or destroy.


How Investors can access your information


If you wish to obtain access to your information we hold you can:
Log into your MoneyOne Account and review your information there;

  • You can contact your financial adviser if applicable; or
  • You can contact cient services for your subplan;
  • to view your information or request access to your information. In normal circumstances we will give you full access to your information.
However, in rare circumstances there may be some legal or administrative reasons why we are delayed or required to deny access. If access is denied, we will provide you with the reason why.

Cookies and click stream data


In providing you with web page services we utilize the use of cookies. These cookies are small amounts of information placed into your computer for record keeping purposes to enable you have a better experience on our webpage. Cookies are generally used on the Oasis site to:
Access online services – If you log into a password-protected page. To enable this we may use an encrypted short expiry cookie would be used to maintain the login status.
Traffic monitoring - we may use tracking companies, who directly, or thorugh us may employee ‘click-stream data’ to gather information about how people are using the Oasis site, this information generally includes time of visit, pages visited, and some system information about the type of computer and connection you are using. We use this information to enhance the content and services offered on the site by keeping it relevant to you.
Oasis may use the above information for other purposes but whenever this happens none of the information collected can be used to personally identify you.
You are able to adjust your browsers security settings to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is sent. This will depend on the browsers you choose to use. Generally the method of changing your preferences would be discussed under the ‘help’ menu. However if you disable cookies you may not be able to access certain features on our webpage.

Dealing with Oasis online


We do not collect information about those individuals who choose to browse our web pages, however, to maintain service standards we may at times monitor traffic flow, please see ‘Cookies and click stream data’ for more information.
Some parts of our services, or related services such as MoneyOne, are password protected. We strongly recommend you keep your password and login private. We will not ask you for your password.
Your account information is password protected and we recommend you do not divulge your password to anyone. To further protect your personal information, your log-in time will automatically expire after a certain period of inactivity.
Oasis cannot guarantee or accept responsibility for the privacy practices or the content of web sites to which we provide links.
